The Alex Fraser Group was a finalist in the 2010 Banksia Awards, Australia’s most prestigious environmental award series.
The Alex Fraser Group was a finalist in the Leaders in Sustainability – Large Business category for its leading edge innovations in the construction and demolition materials recycling sector and the company's commitment to enhancing its own environmental performance in the last few years.
The 22 year old Banksia Awards recognise and celebrate Australia’s leading environmental or sustainable initiatives across business, government and community organisations.

The Alex Fraser Group was a finalist in its category with:
- Fuji Xerox, Australia
- Downer Mining
- Landcom
- National Australia Bank
- GPT Group
- Darebin City Council; and
- Woolworths.
The winner in the category was Fuji Xerox, Australia.
“The Alex Fraser Group was proud to reach the finals and compete with such a group of iconic Australian companies and organisations,” Mr McKellar said.
‘It goes to show that even though we are much smaller company, our commitment to sustainability ranks up there with the biggest and best companies in Australia,” he said.
