Introducing the Green Roads Blog

Do you ever think about what you might be driving on?

Maybe it’s a brand new road, built from expensive, quarried, natural resources, creating carbon emissions and truck traffic.

Or maybe it’s a green road; an environmentally friendly, high-quality road, built from recycled construction materials and the glass from your wheelie bin.

Welcome to the Green Roads blog

We are building a community of like-minded people who want to find a better, smarter and greener way to build our cities.

While Green Roads is a new brand, the company behind it, Alex Fraser,  has been helping to build ‘green roads’ for decades.

In fact, Green Roads converts 3.5 million tonnes of waste into valuable recycled construction materials each year for the major infrastructure you and your family may use every day – like roads, bridges, pavements and ports. With a network of sites across Melbourne and Brisbane, we’ve supplied green construction material to more than 240 major infrastructure projects.

Green Roads could fill the MCG to the brim, every three months with recycled construction materials; saving 3.5 million tonnes of waste from landfill every year. Learn more in our weekly blog.

We’re working with developers and governments to encourage a greener way to plan and build our cities. When they choose Green Roads the community and the planet benefit in five significant ways:

  • Less Landfill
  • Less Traffic
  • Less Carbon Emissions
  • Less Extraction
  • Less Glass Waste

Subscribe to our newsletter to receive the latest news from our blog and learn how our innovative approach to resource recovery and recycling is helping to solve some of the country’s biggest issues around waste management.
