Hutchinson Builders go green with Alex Fraser recycled construction materials
August 22, 2018

Established in 1912, Hutchinson Builders is Queensland’s largest privately owned building company. Alex Fraser Queensland has a long term relationship with Hutchinson Builders, having supplied a full suite of recycled products to many of their projects across Brisbane and surrounding areas since the late 1990’s.
Key Account Manager Brian Douglas said the most recent of the larger projects supplied by Alex Fraser Queensland was the $27m Bunnings Warehouse development on Compton Road in Underwood. The 30,000m2 building has been a very active site with more than 60 workers on site over 10 months. Timing of loads has been critical to ensure minimal disruption to other contractors relying on our products.

“We have supplied 8,200 tonnes of sustainable materials to the project, including drainage aggregates, 75mm backfill, CBR45 and CBR80 roadbases. We’re working closely with the team at Hutchinson Builders to support them to complete the next stages of external works,” said Brian.
Project Foreman Joe Licastro said he most valued the efficient customer service and delivery reliability that Alex Fraser offered.
Project Foreman Matt Hutton added, “We’ve been extremely happy with the service and the quality of the products delivered by Alex Fraser. Victory, Tony and Rachel in the Customer Service Centre are always so helpful; making it easier for us to organise our contractors who rely on the on-time delivery of Alex Fraser products.”
