Knowledge Sharing through Industry Partnerships

Our long-standing partnership with the Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) has been in focus over the past few weeks, with Alex Fraser joining CCF in Queensland and CCF Victoria at a number of industry events.

Alex Fraser Managing Director Peter Murphy presented alongside CPB Contractor’s (UNITY Alliance) Glenn Hedges on significant sustainability benefits being achieved through collaboration, innovation and the use of Green Roads Construction Materials the state’s largest infrastructure project – Cross River Rail.

The CCF Victoria Branch was a key partner in the delivery of the Victorian Government’s Trade & Tech Fit Career Expo where they brought together a host of industry partners including Alex Fraser, William Adams Cat and Reece Civil to engage with young women seeking information and pathways into careers in civil construction. This event showcased the many rewarding and emerging trade and technology career opportunities to women and gender diverse job seekers. Alex Fraser’s Training & Development Lead, Mike Bacarella, Internal Comms Lead, Lidia Perri and Management Development Graduate, Dori Pali spent two days at the expo engaging with the students about their potential career pathways and the many career options available throughout Alex Fraser.

Alex Fraser Boilermaker Apprentice Megan Bartolo was shortlisted as a finalise for the CCF Victoria People & Training Awards.

Some of our trade career opportunities include that held by our Boilermaker Apprentice Megan Bartolo. Megan was a finalist for the Female Apprentice of the Year award at the CCF Vic People & Training Awards for her commitment to safety, professional growth and her dedication to becoming expertly skilled in her trade.

Alex Fraser’s Health & Safety Team were also finalists for the Safety Award, due to their innovative and whole-of-organisation approach to safety planning and the thriving safety culture they have built. Although we didn’t come home with the prize, it was a great celebration of the achievements being made in the civil construction industry. Congratulations to all the winners.

CCF Victoria utilise a portion of Clarinda Recycling Facility to conduct their Pathways Program.

CCF Victoria also utilise a section of Clarinda Recycling Facility to conduct their Pathways Program, training participants to operate heavy machinery through a Victorian State Government initiative. These participants receive real-world industry training to either become  job-ready or employed upon completion of the program.

Alex Fraser is proud to collaborate with the CCF and its partners, sharing best practices in the civil construction industry.
