August 1, 2018

Project overview
Negri Contractors commissioned Alex Fraser Asphalt and Hanson to supply the materials for the reconstruction of Bulban Road, Werribee; between Ballan Road and McGrath Road.
Negri Project Manager Ricardo Lima said it was easy to work with Alex Fraser Asphalt and Hanson.
“I love working with Alex Fraser Asphalt, they have excellent customer service and the best crews who always meet our tight deadlines.”
“The quality of the products and workmanship is excellent, and the sustainability benefits are a bonus,” said Ricardo.
Choosing the right materials for the job

Alex Fraser crews are paving greener roads in Wyndham.
Alex Fraser’s crews paved 27,674 square metres of asphalt to a total thickness of 190mm, amounting to more than 12,500 tonnes. Both the base and intermediate layer contain 42 per cent recycled material, including glass. The wearing course will contain 10 per cent of recycled material to comply with Vicroads specifications.
In February, Hanson supplied the project with more than 30,000 tonnes of class 2 and class 3 rock products for the roadbase.
Ricardo applauded the convenience of Hanson’s online ordering system.
“We really like using Hanson’s app; it makes ordering easy and helps us keep track of our deliveries, so we can keep the job moving,” he said.
Due for completion by October 2018, the project is one of many green roads throughout the city of Wyndham.
The use of Alex Fraser materials on the reconstruction of Bulban Road, Werribee has:
REDUCED landfill by 5,000 tonnes
REDUCED carbon emissions by 542 tonnes
PRESERVED natural resources by 5,000 tonnes.
