Green Roads Construction Material

Alex Fraser’s Green Roads Asphalt mixes contain up to 50% recycled content, including combinations of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP), recycled glass sand and recycled plastics. Our warm mix technology further lowers the carbon footprint of Green Roads asphalt by up to 40%, ranking our asphalt production as the greenest in the industry.

Green Roads Asphalt mixes meet VicRoads specification 407, TMR specifications MRTS30, MRTS 32 and Brisbane City Council specification S320, with approval for the inclusion of recycled asphalt, glass and plastics in various mixes. Our asphalt plants produce approximately 300 tonnes per hour and are equipped to store more than 600 tonnes of hot asphalt.

Green Roads Asphalt

Hot or warm mix asphalt, incorporating up to 50% of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP). Green Roads Asphalt reduces project carbon emissions by *up to 65 per cent.

PolyPave Asphalt

PolyPave Asphalt is available in hot or warm mix asphalt. It incorporates recycled, high-density polyethylene hard plastic (HDPE) such as shampoo bottles, ice-cream containers, milk bottles and Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP).

The use of recycled HDPE plastics in PolyPave is proven to increase the durability, tensile strength, rut resistance and longevity of the pavement.

Glassphalt

Green Roads Glassphalt is warm or cool mix asphalt containing high volumes of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) and Recycled Glass Sand (RGS) sourced locally from the millions of glass jars and bottles recovered through residents’ kerbside collections.

The use of Glassphalt can help achieve carbon savings of *up to 65%, while recycling a local waste material and preserving natural resources.
