July 17, 2018

Project overview
Established in 1999, Rokon is one of Victoria’s most prominent Civil Contractors. At St Claire’s Estate in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, Rokon have engaged Alex Fraser to provide the 12,000 tonnes of sustainable material required for stages two and three of the project.
Working together to build exceptional pavements
Rokon’s Northern Region Area Manager Shannon Hodgson said they confidently relied on Alex Fraser for the exceptional product quality, competitive pricing and great working relationships.
“When it comes to quality and service, Alex Fraser always – always delivers. We love working with Alex Fraser to build exceptional pavements and see our hard work pay off,” said Shannon.
Alex Fraser Key Account Manager Natalie Montalto said it was satisfying to see our customers so happy with our complete range of recycled products going into their project.
“We’ve provided everything from the subgrade to the base layer – Alex Fraser capping, recycled concrete class 2, 3 and 4, and crushed rock class 2 and 3,” said Natalie.
“It was good to spend time on site talking about how the process works on both ends – bringing our teams together,” Natalie said.
The project commenced in November 2017 and is earmarked for completion in October 2018.
Cost and carbon savings
Choosing Alex Fraser recycled materials for stage two and three of the St Claire Estate project saved Rokon 1,067 tonnes of material, or 36 less truck loads, and attracted a carbon saving of approximately 78 tonnes.
