Suncoast Asphalt enters a new era with rebrand to Alex Fraser

March 2, 2026

Suncoast Asphalt today marks a significant milestone in its history by transitioning to Alex Fraser, aligning the business with its parent company’s well‑established national brand and strengthening its position in the Queensland construction materials market.

Alex Fraser Managing Director Peter Murphy said the rebrand reflects the company’s commitment to continuous improvement, and a clearer, unified identity for customers and industry partners.

Narangba Asphalt Plant was acquired in 2018, and now part of Alex Fraser.

“Our transition to the Alex Fraser brand brings our Queensland asphalt business fully into the fold of one of Australia’s longest running providers of sustainable construction materials,” Mr Murphy said.

“Together, we will strengthen our ability to deliver high‑quality, innovative and low‑carbon construction solutions to the Queensland market, backed by the global expertise of Heidelberg Materials and the strong, people‑centred culture that defines our business.”

“While our name is changing, our focus remains on keeping people safe and providing a customer experience built on trust, great service and proven performance.”

Alex Fraser Narangba supplies and paves the South-East Queensland market.

Suncoast Asphalt has supplied and paved asphalt in the South‑East Queensland market from its Narangba facility since its acquisition by Heidelberg Materials Australia (formerly Hanson Australia) in 2018.

“For our customers, suppliers and community partners, it’s business as usual; the same team, same commitment to quality, and the same reliable service you know and trust,” Mr Murphy said.

Alex Fraser has been a pioneer in recycled construction materials since its establishment in 1879. Today it operates one of Australia’s most advanced networks of recycling and asphalt, supplying sustainable materials into major infrastructure and local projects across Victoria and Queensland.
