Our sites’ air quality is constantly monitored by air quality monitoring systems. Ample on-site water storage enables the collection and use of storm water for dust suppression systems, watercart roadway washing, dousing of incoming loads and the achievement of specified water content in finished products.
Every Alex Fraser site has been designed and landscaped to effectively manage air quality, visual amenity and acoustics.
The Clarinda Recycling Facility is an award-winning sustainable materials producer that has been internationally recognised for best practice in air quality management and environmental controls.Read More
The site’s air quality is monitored 24/7 by an Osiris real-time air quality monitoring system, which receives live data from four particle monitoring stations located around the site’s perimeter. The monitoring stations use a light scattering technique to continuously monitor any dust particles in the air.
The air quality data is continuously streamed to site management. Alarms are set well below industry and EPA standards. Staff are immediately warned of any rising dust emissions detected.
The following guideline has been devised by an independent expert to assess and manage air quality in and around the Clarinda Recycling Facility:

Alex Fraser is commited to the containment and eradication of Red Imported Fire Ants throughout Queensland.Read More
Red Imported Fire Ants (Solenopsis invicta) were first discovered in Brisbane in February 2001. They are a serious pest species originating in Brazil and Paraguay in South America.
As a company that operates within the Fire Ant Biosecurity Zones, we have a responsibility to assist in the containment of Fire Ants through stringent operational controls.
Under Queensland Government Legislation, Alex Fraser are responsible for ensuring that all incoming loads, along with all material sold from our sites are Fire Ant free.
To remain compliant, we hold a Biosecurity Instrument Permit (BIP) for each of our sites. This allows Alex Fraser to accept all incoming materials, and the subsequent sale of our products for use in any Fire Ant zone.
The BIP is available via the link below.
This allows immediate access for all staff, contractors and truck drivers should they be required to produce the BIP for inspection. The BIP numbers are also printed at the bottom of each weighbridge docket for ease of reference.
When you choose from our Green Roads products you can be assured, you’re making a sustainable difference on your project.
