Alex Fraser Queensland began supplying Wiley & Co with sustainable construction products in early 2019. As a project delivery company focused on sustainable outcomes, Wiley & Co have opted to use recycled roadbase and drainage aggregates in their construction projects, including building pads, car parks and internal roads.

Wiley & Co choose Alex Fraser’s sustainable materials for superior environmental outcomes.

Alex Fraser’s Archerfield and Nudgee Recycling facilities are ideally situated to supply Wiley & Co’s most recent schools project with works throughout Indooroopilly, Moggill, Upper Mt Gravatt, Goodna, Coomera, Griffith and The Gap.

Alex Fraser Key Account Manager Brian Douglas said that Wiley & Co were one of the industry leaders helping to accelerate Queensland’s circular economy.

It’s great to be working with progressive companies like Wiley & Co who are committed to preserving natural resources, and reducing waste by buying recycled. They are demonstrating how easy it is for major contractors to reduce their carbon footprint; simply by switching to green roads products.”

Established in 1918, Wiley & Co is a trusted name in the building industry; they have been delivering quality construction projects for more than a century.

Through its construction management and building arm, Wiley & Co works closely with the Queensland Government on major projects to deliver environmentally responsible outcomes.

Wiley & Co Project Manager Dave Hamill is a long-term customer and has been overseeing their most recent contract at Goodna State Special School

The project at Goodna State Special School highlights how easy it is for developers to switch to Alex Fraser’s green roads sustainable products.

“I’ve been using Alex Fraser’s green roads products for more than five years now, and introduced Wiley & Co to them when I first started here. These days most of our projects incorporate Alex Fraser’s sustainable materials.

Dave also said that the consistently high quality of the green roads products has made it an easy choice

“The recycled materials Alex Fraser produces are on par, if not superior product to natural quarried materials. On top of that, they get us great environmental returns.

Going forward, I will choose green roads products for any pavement or building platform project I manage.”

By choosing Alex Fraser recycled products, Wiley & Co have:

  • reduced landfill by 6,800 tonnes,
  • reduced traffic by 20 trucks and
  • reduced carbon emissions by 44,399 kg.
